There is one aspect of our many experiences that is known to play a significant role in many of our individual experiences. When looked at in greater perspective, it is in the center of all experience and in the center of the expression of the Creator into all of creation. That aspect is the concept of HUMOR.
Have you ever considered what Humor really is? Humor is applied in many ways. It is often simply a story that is told that has an unexpected ending or has unexpected relationships in the midst of the story that, when visualizing the potential experience, there is something intriguing and humorous about that relationship.
There is also the Humor that is at the expense of others which is certainly not the Humor of the soul. This is the Humor of the emotions that takes another’s position and path and in some way creates what is intended to be a story about that particular situation and tries to create an atmosphere of Humor, at atmosphere of unusual circumstance around that position. Humor at the expense of another soul is never in the right context.
Then there is Humor that is strictly that of observing the multitude of relations in all of the intricacies of the interwoven web of experience that surrounds one daily. There are those instance that, when observed from an extended perception, can often be seen in the light of most interesting and humorous relationships. There are those moments when, in order to provide the light of the moment, a comment or an understanding can be expressed which simply is saying, let’s enjoy this moment, and let’s see this moment for being the breath of spirit into creation that it is indeed one with.
Humor can be very spontaneous in the sense of simply enjoying the moment of the very breath of existence and seeing and feeling the connectedness of that existence, and acknowledging that there is indeed a wonderful expression of creation taking place each moment.
Humor can acknowledge creation. Humor acknowledges the infinite variety of creation and the infinite relationships of the created experience. Humor opens the door to light heartedness which takes one from the heavy connection to the physical, emotional and the mental world and allows one to be free from those somewhat cluttered and very tightly woven relationships that hold one into the three dimensional world.
Humor helps one even for a moment, escape that tenacious entrapment and takes one into a place where the soul is free to express, to enjoy, and to honor the beauty, the harmony, the life, and the truth which it is.
Humor is most important. It is like the pattern of behavior that unlocks and helps oil the hinge on the door that takes one into a greater consciousness. When the door will not open because it is stuck due to one’s attachments to that which is holding one back, it is necessary to see the humor, to see the light, to see the level of beauty and harmony that is existent in the very moment, and let that carry you through this doorway into expanded consciousness.
There is a saying, God is laughing why aren’t you? In a way this is true, for the universe is a most beautify expression of creation. We only see and experience a small portion of it in our earthly sojourn, but the grandeur and infinite expression of creation are indeed something to behold and to be part of, to enjoy, and to release all attachment to that which would hold one back. In that release there is indeed the humor of the universe. For the humor is that you have indeed created your entrapment and in releasing yourself from that entrapment, you see the fallacy of the three dimensional experience as a self contained reality.
So let Humor be the explosive bomb that you drop into your pathway of expanding consciousness and it will indeed accelerate and assist in letting go of that which is not necessary to hold onto. It will help you to see what you are experiencing from the light of the universe, from the point of view of awareness and expanded consciousness that is the goal and pathway of evolution we are really on. |
